As I sit on my bed watching Ally McBeal, I am also munching on some delicious fettuccine alfredo with chicken that I made not too long ago. To be honest, at first I thought it was gonna come out like shit. BUT, it came out much better than I had hoped!
I have some time to kill, since Tony is at school, and I'm all caught up on my school work. (It feels good to be able to say that last part!) I'm doing my best to finish up all my Ally McBeal episodes on Netflix. It's one of the best shows every, you should try it out.(:
I'm bored now, so I'll update again later!

This is basically just a random blog about my life, and what it's like while I'm in college. Sorry if you don't find it interesting, I'm not a very exciting person. I'm challenging myself to do at least one blog per day. Thanks, and Gig 'Em!(:

Sophomore Slump
I have a moment of spare time, so, I figured it would be in my interest to update whoever reads this on how my sophomore year is going so far. (Even though it's only been a week, haha.)
Here goes...
-SCHEDULE...
---MGMT 105: Even though it's an 8 AM, it's a pretty decent class. My professor is absolutely adorable, and rather hilarious if I do say so myself. I'm sure there will be several more updates on this class in the future. It looks promising.
---HIST 106: This is my professor's first year of teaching. Ever. So, I kind of feel like a class of 300+ people is a tad intimidating for her. Down side... There's a crap ton of reading. And she assigned us like, 15 expensive books. Boo on that.
---KINE 199: My step aerobics class is wonderful! I seriously look forward to that class. My teacher is so pretty. I go to class, and I'm like, dang- she's pretty...
---ANTH 202: Archaeology is for squares. Especially when it requires 70-90 pages of reading per week.
---ECON 202: Lame, lame, sleep-inducing, lame.
-LIFE...
---WORK: I got a job! EVERYONE NEEDS TO KNOW ABOUT IT BECAUSE I'M SOOOOOOO EXCITED! I'm going to be working in the eClaims Department at Schlumberger here in College Station. I'm gonna be getting accounting experience, and Schlumberger is the company that my dad has been working for since he was my age. I also get to purchase a new wardrobe, since the dress code is business casual, which I currently do not own.
---BRUCE: As you already know, Tony's roommate Tim got a Siberian Husky the other day. However, as he is an absentee parent, Tony and I have been puppysitting basically 24/7. Which has its ups and downs. I looooove playing with the cute little thing, but I'm getting a little tired of cleaning up his constant shit. Seriously, he poops everywhere. Mostly in front of Poptart's room, though. Whatever.
---TRIPLE DOUBLE OREOS: This subject has not only been brought to MY attention, but also to the attention to basically everyone I come in contact with. The whole world seriously needs to become conscious that such a thing exists, and then they need to go purchase like, 7 boxes of them, because they are MAGICAL.
-MORE LIFE...
---SLEEP: Sleep has been seriously lacking in my life as of late. I feel like a lame grandma, 'cause I'm always tired by midnight. It's getting to be rather depressing. I'm so old!
---FOOTBALL: The first A&M football game is tomorrow. I was hoping to go, but here's what happened... My mother was supposed to renew my Sports Pass. However, she did not. THEN, I find out that A&M SOLD OUT OF SPORTS PASSES. WTFFFFFFFF IS THAT?!?!?!?! As you can probably tell by my overuse of capital letters, I'm pretty freakin' pissed about it. "I'm gonna have a B.F.!!!" So, no sports for me this year. Sad life.):
---BUSES: Tony is driving A LOT. It's a bittersweet thing for me. Part of me is happy because he's making money and being responsible, but the other half of my is bummed 'cause he's always gone. Arg.
Midnight is creeping up on me, and I can feel my eyelids slowly falling, closing on the curtain on another day in the life of Shelby. Exciting isn't it? Nah. Like I said... Just another day.
Sweet dreams, fellow Bloggers.

Bruce.
School has started back up again. However, that update will just have to wait for another spare moment in time. Why? Right now, it's time for BRUCE.(:
This is Bruce. The most adorable puppy on the planet. Timmy (one of Tony's roommates who we know from high school) bought him yesterday at the puppy store. Greatest purchase ever. I'm currently puppysitting with Tony while Tm catches up on some sleep. There's only two problems with this magical dog...
- He pisses ALL DAY, ERRDAY.
- He runs into EVERYTHING.
But other than that, he's absolutely wonderful. We've been walking him, feeding him, teaching him to sit and follow, etc. I even taught him how to FETCH last night! Whoop!
He's currently running around the house chewing on stuff, and trying to fit into holes. YAY SIBERIAN HUSKIES!(:
Well, I should go now, since I should be paying more attention to le pup.
Hasta luego, Bloggers.
Shelby.

I Couldn't Kill Al Green.
So, it's basically been ALL summer since my last blog. Sorry to any of you who actually check this thing. Although, by now, you've probably dropped me from your list of things to read. This will probably be a long one, and potentially super boring. So... buckle down, or switch to a different site, haha.
Time for some updates on how my life has been...
I've gone on a few vacations!(:
I went to Fredericksburg, TX for the first time a few weeks ago. It was the most darling little town! We stayed on a ranch about 20 minutes outside of town. It was HUGE. The guy that owns the place must be a billionaire. For real. The ranch came equipped with an elk, his 2 cows, 4 endangered animals that I can never remember the name of, a crap ton of deer, and 4 ZEBRAS. Who the heck has zebras?! It also had an ex-longhorn. Like, a literal retired mascot from t.u. His name is Bevo and everything. HOWEVER, he had the 13-0 branded on his side, so I'm thinking the guy's an Aggie. Ooh! He also had 2 horses that Tony and I completely fell in love with. I can't wait to potentially be rich one day so I can have one of my own.(:
I also went to Destin, Florida last week! Another first time, and with Tony's familia. Can I just say that Galveston ain't got NOTHIN' on Destin. We had an adorable condo, where we stayed with Tony's parents, sister, and grandfather. Just outside our back door was the first hole on a mini golf course, which we totally enjoyed! We spent most of our time on the beach. And we even saw a boat on fire- which turned out to be an arson! I JET SKId FOR THE FIRST TIME!!! Tony and I rented a jet ski for half an hour, got our boating licenses, and although the plan was to take turns driving, when it got to be my turn, I had a slight panic attack, and I made him take over again. (But to be honest, it was WAY more fun with him driving, anyways!) We almost flipped off once, and I was SO scared, but Tony saved us, and it turned out to be one of the funnest things EVER. My camera broke after the first 3 pictures I took, and that sucked, but that was the only negative thing about it. We got KRISPY KREMES on the way home, too! Yay road trips!
Okay... on to something other than fabulous trips.
A few years ago, I got an iPod Touch. Fancy, right? Well, since then, I have filled the bugger up to it's capacity. Sad life, I know. SO- my padre gave me his old iPod. And guess what... it's an original. A bulky, white, 30 GB piece of GOLD.(: It's been sitting around my house for the past few years since my dad upgraded to an iPhone, and he said I could have it! YAY! Now maybe I can add some of the genius that Katie and Tony have on their iTunes playlists! Whoooooooooooooooop.
I've also been scarily obsessed with ALLY MCBEAL. It's wonderful. Except for the fact that the episodes are typically 40 minutes long. It's consumed my life since I got home from Florida, and I'm JUST starting Season 3! Gah.
Also, I'm still in lame ass Sugar Land. It's officially Gig 'Em Week, and I'm not in College Station. What the heck is that? Bleh. Well, I get back into Aggieland on Friday! YAY!!!
I think I'm getting tired now...
See ya, later, Bloggers.(:

Black Cloud- Let Go & Let God.
So, I've been a little off my blogging game. Actually, I've been really off my blogging game. I've been under a lot of stress for the past few days, and I've let it completely control my life. So as a fair warning to you- this is a completely serious blog. If you're not in the mood for seriousness and blah, blah, blah, then stop reading lol.
Over the past year, I have made more than my fair share of mistakes. Unfortunately, I don't know whether or not I'm going to get the chance to correct them. I made one mistake, and then a short time later, I made the same mistake. But, third time's the charm, right? I sure hope so. And if it weren't for the incredible Tony Garza, I would've completely fallen apart this week.
Mostly, I'm worried about what my parents will say/think. One of my biggest fears is disappointing them, which is why I've been so panicked and stressed.
I honestly think I have the HUGEST black cloud to ever exist looming over me at all hours of the day. And every time I think the sun is going to shine, instead, it starts raining on my freaking head. I just feel like the ultimate screw-up all the time. And I know that I shouldn't think that way, but I just get so frustrated with myself for all the dumb, wrong things that I do. I feel like I let down everyone around me, which is awful, because I want nothing more than to make the people I care about feel happy.
Ugh. Despite all of my problems, I know that God is the one control, not me, not my lame issues, not school, not anything or anyone but God.
That's my quote for today. It's extremely important to me, especially during this rough patch. And I hope not, but maybe someone reading this is having trouble, too- if that's the case, I hope that this helps you like it's helping me.
Best wishes,
Shelby Elizabeth.

Hammy Suicide.
Tony and I have a hamster. His name is "Buccaneer"/"Buc"/"Bucolas"/"Buccy"/pretty much anything you can come up with along those lines...
Anyways, we got Buc last semester because we decided that we really needed an animal. It was a pretty great decision if I do say so myself... And I do say so myself.
Getting back to the point of the story- today, our hamster decided that he no longer loves his life, and that he was going to commit the ultimate crime: Hammy Suicide.
Don't worry though, no hamsters were harmed in the making of this blog. Just a really sad story that I felt I should share with you.
Onto more serious things...
Sorry I forgot to post yesterday. I feel pretty bad about it. Haha, who am I kidding? I don't feel bad about anything right now.
I'M A SOPHOMORE IN COLLEGE! A-A-A-A-AAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!(:
Life is swell. I finished my last two exams today. Yesterday's went a little better than today's, but, whatever- it's summer now! I'm pretty ecstatic. Tomorrow I'm gonna pack up all my junk at Callaway, since it's my very last day there. Anybody wanna celebrate that thought with me? Let's do it! No more Callaway, no more Callaway, no more Callaway, no more Callaway, la la la la la la la la.(: Ahh, good celebration.
See ya later.

$85 and a Mom Van.
So, since Callaway is the most pleasant place on Earth, they're kicking us out less than 24 hours after finals finish. Damn Callawayans. So, I have to take 4 exams, pack up everything in my apartment, and then load it all into the mom van. Yup, I'm rockin' the mom van this week. Since my loving parents have decided that I can pack up my stuff, carry all 3 billion pounds of it up and down Callaway's lovely halls, and then truck it home... By myself... Rude, right? Right.
On a lighter note, today, Katie was doing her laundry, and as she came back into the room, she mumbled the word "books." So, I'm thinking to myself, "What the hell? Is Katie on dope?" (which is a That 70's Show reference for all you obsessive weirdos like us). But as it turns out, there was this stranger trolling the lovely halls of Callaway (as previously mentioned) who was scanning books and... Giving. People. Money. I didn't even have to leave my room! Fabulous, eh? Anyways, so as the troll is adding up all the money that I'm getting for my unwanted books, Katie decides that since she has more books than I do, she's going to get more money than me. Poor Katie- she had no idea what she was getting herself into...

Final Score... Katie: $8. Shelby: $85.
And might I just say, winning feels good. I finally understand what Charlie Sheen is always blabbing about. Yeah, it feels good to sit on my couch and make $85. Ahh, life.
Tony went back to Sugar Land this evening, so once again, I'm spending the night in the same general location as Katie. (Guess you can't win 'em all...) However, he went back for a solid reason- and he's bringing home my PoliSci book, which was recently located in the trunk of my car that is also in Sugar Land. Yay for boyfriends! Now I'll have a chance of passing my PoliSci final on Wednesday evening. Great news.
Also, since my mother is leaving for England on Saturday, she's taking me to get my nails done on Friday morning. Getting manicures is my guilty pleasure. I love it. Especially since my nails are so freaking tiny. Having long nails (even if they're fake and only last a couple of weeks) makes me happy.(: AND, on Sunday night, Tony's family is taking me out to dinner. Once again, WINNING!
To end my little ranty blog for tonight, I'll let you know that Katie and I are about to watch Mean Girls. I'm elated about this. I've wanted to watch it for over 24 hours, and Katie has finally given in! Also, my quote for the blog will come from the fabulous movie:
"'Taylor Zimmerman- two for you. Glenn Coco? FOUR for you, Glenn Coco! You go, Glenn Coco! And uh... Caddy Heron. Do we have a Caddy Heron here?' 'It's Cady.' 'Oh, Cady. Here you go, one for you... And none for Gretchen Weiners- Bye!'" -Damian and Cady.Oh life, you are so good.(:

Back to Business.
I apologize for the abruptness of my last post. But, for those of you who are interested, I am now safely back at my apartment in College Station. However, Tony and I were welcomed home by some fleas. Lovely. So, he's taking care of business over there, while I am itching myself nonstop at my own apartment as Katie does her INFO notes for Exam Week.
Stay beautiful bloggers!
-Shelby.
Speaking of Exams Week- it makes me want to shoot someone. (Figuratively speaking of course- I'm not actually a violent person... unless your name is Psycho Brooke.). I have 4 major exams in the next couple of days. Sounds miserable, right? That's 'cause it is. Bleh. I am extremely anti-finals at this point in life.
I know, I know, you're thinking, "What else is new in your fabulous life, Shelby?" In response to your thoughts, today was Mother's Day, as I pointed out in my blog from earlier today... I got my mom a gnome. It's the best gnome ever, though. 'Cause it's kinda like what my mom would look like if she were a gnome, which I think is pretty freaking fabulous. Also, I was the ONLY ONE in my family who got her a present... So now you're thinking, "Wow- Shelby is a great daughter," or, "Dang! You must've gotten a lot of brownie points for that one!" Well, both of your thoughts (which I, personally, agree with) do not follow in line with what actually happened. There was no praise, and no brownie points were awarded. Damn...
On a lighter note, I found a $15 iTunes gift card in my bedroom back home whilst I was cleaning it out this weekend. I'm pretty sure it hasn't been used, either! Happy Final's Week to me! Now I just have to decide what I want to get with it :/.
BIGGEST PET PEEVE: When people eat/chew/smack with their mouths open. I absolutely cannot stand it. It honestly makes me want to slap the person that's doing it... Hard. I just don't get why it's so hard for people to close their mouths. And I get it when you're eating chips, and you just can't help the loud crunching sound, but if you're smacking for like, bread or something, STOP IT.
I guess now would be a good time to throw in my quote-of-the-blog...
"Use soft words and hard arguments." -English Proverb. And since technically I posted a blog already today without a quote, I feel as though I should add another to this one to make up for it. So, here it is:
"If you fill your heart with the regrets of yesterday and the worries of tomorrow, you have no today to be thankful for." -Unknown.I felt like the last one was pretty appropriate for my situation this week with finals, moving out, my parents leaving, blah, blah, blahbitty-blah. I guess it's just something for me to think about during my busy life haha.
Stay beautiful bloggers!

Happy Mother's Day!
I was doing so well! But it completely blew my mind last night that, hey- I should WRITE ON MY FREAKING BLOG. Urg.
Anyways, I've been back home for Mother's Day weekend, except my family hasn't been here with me. Instead, they went up to Austin for my sister's volleyball tournament. Whatever, family. So, I've been home completely alone. Let me just tell you that my house is the SCARIEST PLACE ON EARTH. As a result of this freaky, haunted place, I ended up spending the night at Tony's house. His little sister has one of the comfiest beds ever! I passed out 5 minutes after my head hit the pillow! It was much easier to sleep when I knew there were 4 other people in the house with me. Shocking, right?
Anyways, my family is home now. But I'm getting ready to head back to College Station... Yay! It's exams week, so, I NEED TO BE STUDYING RIGHT NOW.
I'll get back on later to give you a quote and the rest of my story(:

Subtle Sexuality.
Tonight, I was about to lay down, close my eyes, and dream the night away, when suddenly I remembered- I HADN'T BLOGGED TODAY. So, I ran into the kitchen to grab my laptop to do a little late-night blogging.
You're welcome...
Anyways, today was rather odd. I've been trying to enroll in some summer school classes a la HCCS. So far, it's been one of the most painful and troublesome tasks I've had to deal with. These people seriously are professionals at making other peoples' lives Hell. It is so irritating. I can't even think of a word to describe how I feel... Maybe something along the lines of: "ERG!" Yeah, that'll do for now.
Also, today is Cinco de Mayo/Cinco de Drink-o/Drink-o de Mayo/Everyone-Get-Shitfaced-To-Honor-The-Mexicans--No-Wait--Fuck-The-Mexicans--I-Just-Wanna-Drink Day. Oh, America, you slay me with your fantasmic group of residents.
Tony and I went back home today, since it's Dead Week and all. So far, it's been average. Although, I did go out to dinner with my parents. We went to BJ's Brewhouse and Pub, and I got the chicken pot stickers, which are seriously one of my favorite foods. I've tried to recreate them on several occasions- none of which have been successful. They're just so perfect at BJ's, and as I've mentioned before, I'm just too average to make something so amazing!
Finals are next week, and I'm starting to stress. Luckily, my stupid INFO class isn't a cumulative exam, which is totally going to help me out. (Thanks, God!). But on the other hand, my MATH final is gonna kick my ass. If you haven't noticed, I really enjoy using all the fun options given to you while writing your blog (bold, italic, underline, etc.). I haven't used all of the gadgets yet, but I absolutely intend to.
UPDATE ON MY THIGHS: If you don't want to be grossed out, skip to the next paragraph... You've been warned... So, my slices were doing pretty good, up until this morning's shower. I was drying off, and BAM! I opened up my stupid scabs. The bleeding has yet to stop. Again, the daily life of Shelby...
Not too long ago, the fabulous Katie Gibson sent me a link to a video. Weare freakishly obsessed love The Office, and this video is made my some of the characters in the show. It is seriously hilarious. I'm putting the link on here, since the video's not on YouTube yet... Watch "The Girl Next Door" music video. Fabulous.
http://www.subtlesexuality.com/main.shtml
I know what you're thinking... What else is going on in this super interesting girl's life? Well, I'll tell you...
NOTHING.
That's pretty much all that's happening in my life. But, you'll be glad to know that I'm steadily becoming more and more obsessed with blogging, so, I could possibly be upping my game to two posts per day. WATCH OUT. It could happen. Also, I've decided to end all my blog posts with a quote that kind of reflects how I'm feeling at the time of postage, haha. So, here's the first one:
Have fabulous dreams.

Osama bin Laden
So, I know that I said that I was going to update this every day, but, I'm a busy gal. Sorry- I'm going to do my best!
Anyways, this past weekend, the United States took custody of Osama bin Laden's body, after a military operation resulted in his death. He was shot in the head, and it's been a pretty big deal throughout the week. So far, a lot of stuff has been interesting. Tony and I have been watching the news basically nonstop. Obama just said that they're not planning to release the photos of bin Laden's dead body. Anyways, I'm sure that 5-1-11 is going down in the books. I figured it would be appropriate for me to mention it in my blog, since this is pretty much supposed to document my life and stuff, and this is a major event that has occurred in my life...
ANYWAYS, on to more fun/exciting stuff...
-All day every day, Tony asks me how to spell words. ALL THE TIME. So, for Christmas, we got the board game Scrabble as a gift, and now we play all the time. However... HE ALWAYS BEATS ME. It is unbelievably frustrating. Why does this happen?! I'm a great speller, and he still beats me every time we play the game. I have never once beat him. It is extremely troublesome to me.
-The other day, I really hurt myself. Tony and I were (again) playing Scrabble, and I went to sit down on a nightstand that he had sitting in his apartment that was conveniently placed and perfectly sized. Then, it completely broke underneath me, and sliced up the inside of my thighs pretty badly. My mom thinks I need stitches. And honestly, at first I was really scared, but it was SO FREAKING FUNNY. I would post pictures, but I feel like the first picture I post on my new blog should be something special- not the inside of my less-than-attractive thighs.
-I have recently become obsessed with wedges. Like, the shoes. Katie Gibson started it with her ADORABLE pair in honor of That 70's Show! And her pair are perfect, so now I'm on my own personal vendetta to find my perfect pair of wedges. SO fun, and SO hard. There's millions of pairs of beautiful shoes, and the ones I love cost too much. I have a pretty expensive taste when it comes to shoes. Ahh, my downfall.
Well, I'm tired now...
Hopefully you took the time to read all of my story today. I have a pretty standard life. Sometimes it gets pretty spicy though, so keep reading! (And I'll do my best to keep blogging daily!)
See ya!
