Speaking of Exams Week- it makes me want to shoot someone. (Figuratively speaking of course- I'm not actually a violent person... unless your name is Psycho Brooke.). I have 4 major exams in the next couple of days. Sounds miserable, right? That's 'cause it is. Bleh. I am extremely anti-finals at this point in life.
I know, I know, you're thinking, "What else is new in your fabulous life, Shelby?" In response to your thoughts, today was Mother's Day, as I pointed out in my blog from earlier today... I got my mom a gnome. It's the best gnome ever, though. 'Cause it's kinda like what my mom would look like if she were a gnome, which I think is pretty freaking fabulous. Also, I was the ONLY ONE in my family who got her a present... So now you're thinking, "Wow- Shelby is a great daughter," or, "Dang! You must've gotten a lot of brownie points for that one!" Well, both of your thoughts (which I, personally, agree with) do not follow in line with what actually happened. There was no praise, and no brownie points were awarded. Damn...
On a lighter note, I found a $15 iTunes gift card in my bedroom back home whilst I was cleaning it out this weekend. I'm pretty sure it hasn't been used, either! Happy Final's Week to me! Now I just have to decide what I want to get with it :/.
BIGGEST PET PEEVE: When people eat/chew/smack with their mouths open. I absolutely cannot stand it. It honestly makes me want to slap the person that's doing it... Hard. I just don't get why it's so hard for people to close their mouths. And I get it when you're eating chips, and you just can't help the loud crunching sound, but if you're smacking for like, bread or something, STOP IT.
I guess now would be a good time to throw in my quote-of-the-blog...
"Use soft words and hard arguments." -English Proverb. And since technically I posted a blog already today without a quote, I feel as though I should add another to this one to make up for it. So, here it is:
"If you fill your heart with the regrets of yesterday and the worries of tomorrow, you have no today to be thankful for." -Unknown.I felt like the last one was pretty appropriate for my situation this week with finals, moving out, my parents leaving, blah, blah, blahbitty-blah. I guess it's just something for me to think about during my busy life haha.
Stay beautiful bloggers!
-Shelby.
