Osama bin Laden

So, I know that I said that I was going to update this every day, but, I'm a busy gal.  Sorry- I'm going to do my best!

Anyways, this past weekend, the United States took custody of Osama bin Laden's body, after a military operation resulted in his death.  He was shot in the head, and it's been a pretty big deal throughout the week.  So far, a lot of stuff has been interesting.  Tony and I have been watching the news basically nonstop.  Obama just said that they're not planning to release the photos of bin Laden's dead body.  Anyways, I'm sure that 5-1-11 is going down in the books.  I figured it would be appropriate for me to mention it in my blog, since this is pretty much supposed to document my life and stuff, and this is a major event that has occurred in my life...

ANYWAYS, on to more fun/exciting stuff...

-All day every day, Tony asks me how to spell words.  ALL THE TIME.  So, for Christmas, we got the board game Scrabble as a gift, and now we play all the time.  However... HE ALWAYS BEATS ME.  It is unbelievably frustrating.  Why does this happen?!  I'm a great speller, and he still beats me every time we play the game.  I have never once beat him.  It is extremely troublesome to me.
-The other day, I really hurt myself.  Tony and I were (again) playing Scrabble, and I went to sit down on a nightstand that he had sitting in his apartment that was conveniently placed and perfectly sized.  Then, it completely broke underneath me, and sliced up the inside of my thighs pretty badly.  My mom thinks I need stitches.  And honestly, at first I was really scared, but it was SO FREAKING FUNNY.  I would post pictures, but I feel like the first picture I post on my new blog should be something special- not the inside of my less-than-attractive thighs.
-I have recently become obsessed with wedges.  Like, the shoes.  Katie Gibson started it with her ADORABLE pair in honor of That 70's Show!  And her pair are perfect, so now I'm on my own personal vendetta to find my perfect pair of wedges.  SO fun, and SO hard.  There's millions of pairs of beautiful shoes, and the ones I love cost too much.  I have a pretty expensive taste when it comes to shoes.  Ahh, my downfall.

Well, I'm tired now...
Hopefully you took the time to read all of my story today.  I have a pretty standard life.  Sometimes it gets pretty spicy though, so keep reading!  (And I'll do my best to keep blogging daily!)

See ya!
Shelby Elizabeth.
